Hi Guys

A female friend of mine had a 2009 325I Coupe, which she upgraded the rims and thus has had her old rims just sitting in her garage.

i would like to know, what would be a fair price to sell these rims for, considering they are Original BMW?

From what she explained one is cracked so id have to get the one repaired.

Those wheels are prone to cracking especially with runflats. Problem is once they have cracked..., they are probably at a higher risk of happening again.

I had these rims on my car - BMW replaced the complete set on 2 occasions. They continued to crack time after time.

After changing to non run flat tyres they were much better. If you going to use run flats with these rims its a definite no go area.

I dont think she would get more than R7,5k and thats if the rims where in fairly good condition. Check Gumtree and OLX to get an idea of what price other sellers are asking.

i wonder if its due to them being so light. still one of the most beautiful rims on a beema in my opinion, especially on a M sport coupe :clapper:

thanks for the feedback guys. well if anyone is interested in them just send me a pm.

They are lovely rims but with the cracking issue they just don't make financial sense to purchase. However they do go for a lot on gumtree and olx to customers that aren't aware of the wheels issues.

7.5k seems fair as the rest of the guys highlighted the fact that these rims are prone to cracking.

Is she selling them including the tires?

They crack, even with non runflats on. They seem to have been manufactured using recycled marshmallows. And they aren't as light as the fragility would lead you to believe.

I'd walk away if I were you...

I have the 225s on my 335. Cracked twice (once before I bought the car) with run flats. Repaired and changed to non run flats and no further issues for over a year now. They definitely suit the lines of the coupe. Also looks damn hot on the E46 sedan. GLWS
