All I know is that as soon as you deviate from what would be considered as the manufacturers design parameters you enter
into a world of unpredictable outcomes.
All things are theoretically easy and practically challenging.

More power to you for even contemplating this swap.

I for one have my doubts as to its success and by that I mean an outcome where the vehicle is driveable and reliable with good handling manners.

I shall be here to encourage you as well as commiserate when necessary.

anything is possible, what ever route the OP is taking in the end, i think all of us is looking forward in seeing the end result. Might be something that is a world's fist. We might soon be surprised. Good luck with the build Marco.
This is the correct mindset!

Cant wait to see a i8 B58 x-drive, Lambo eating, hillclimbing MONSTER! 🙌

(pity the v10 idea isn't on the cards anymore)

Carbon is not damaged most of the stuff that I would have replaced is damaged so it works out

My X3 M140i has the B58 motor, great motor just want to compare it to the S63
It was very likely from the pictures there would be damage to the carbon structure as well. Nobody is trying to be overly negative but we could see you were in denial and were setting yourself up for a more problems. "Nothing is impossible/everything is possible" but it seems overly ambitious. Best of luck anyway

Honestly, if this thing is real, then it's legitimately troll levels to pursue an I8 build. Let alone a 4wd converted i8 engine swapped build. Use a cheaper, simpler base and you'll have plenty more fun and save a ton of cash.

Thanks guys good advice! I'm just going to take the week and assess the option

I am defnitief thinking of simplicity at the moment maybe just fit the Mitsubishi Evo motor I have in front or back.

The i8 is real I probably took a 100 fotos, there are more than enough space in front and at the back for a motor swop but, it's not going to be easy you can basically just use the body and the pieces of aluminum frame after that everything is custom BUT also everything would just bolt on.

This is most of the damage

Just from the 2nd and 3rd pics there's clear damage to the entire front suspension mounting - as I said, can you do this? Yes, should you do this? No.

When you're done you'll have spent well clear of fast porsche money and potentially even ferrari money to have, essentially, a tuned up i8.

Unless you have an infinite pile of money, an infinite pile of time and a shortage of care, then yeah. We'll egg you on, because it'll be technically really exciting. But from a pure "does this make sense" pov, no.

Spend R2.5m get a 2nd hand 991.1GT3, spend another R500k getting lighter wheels, a proper track suspension setup, proper tyres and maybe strip some sound deadening and you'll have a car likely faster than your i8 mod will be and also more resellable than your i8 will be as well.

I can get the original front and rear subframes and bolt the new setup to it but yes this is not a small job!

Look, we're all car people, we all spend silly money on cars no matter what income/wealth level we're at. When I bought my Z4M and was done maintaining it I essentially was dead broke!

This is just insanity on a world class scale though. Tavarish wouldn't attempt something like this!

I don't think it's a dream, I think this is just troll level attention seeking(I really wouldn't mind being wrong here)

2 years and 8 pages later and the project hasn't started, ideas keep bouncing from pillar to post, one extreme to the next, let's not even mention the amarok seats.
Its not that extreme just yet. Wait for 2023, a jet engine will be introduced.
