Hi,
I'm am noob in the BMW world and recently bought a low millage 2009 BMW E90 320i.
I have it now for 3 months and now I hear a little whistling noise when driving over 60km/h.
Could this be the Diff and how long can I drive like that?
Could it be a wheel bearing also?
Noise is sort of high pitch, it goes away when I reach about 110.
Come back when I slow down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there. This is probably your side mirrors? I know my pre-lci has a whistling drivers-side mirror at around 60km/h.

So far I haven't been able to find a solution.

Another common problem that causes whistling noise is pcv.
Test apparently is you start car let it idle, try open oil cap. If it opens up easily your good. If it is TIGHT, You'll need to replace pcv.
Quite a few youtube videos about it

Try some wax.
Don't know why but it seems to help the wind "glide " over better.
Doesn't cure t problem, but does make it slightly less irritating

Gummifledge will solve the whistling. Add this to any sealed area of the car. I have an E90 also.

Is it possible to upload a small video to explain this, we can all speculate and will send you in all directions. A better description will help a lot.

So your car has a whistle sound over 60km/h, where do you think it is coming from and is it with the windows open or is it coming from the body or from the engine bay, the whistle sound.
