Hi Guys
I'm looking to buy a bmw e90 and have a few questions

For context I currently drive an 99 a3 8l 1.8t which is averages around 11.8l/100km. This is 80% traffic with a 20% freeway sprint. Around 20-30kms a day round trip.

I'm looking at a e90 325i but not sure on the whether the fuel consumption will be worth it.so what's the real world consumption like? Also is the LCI 325i really that much better on economy as BMW claims?

Overall I'm looking for a daily car that's comfortable to drive but can also be fine from time to time and is not exorbitant to maintain.looking at something around the R100k.

I owned a E90 323i pre Lci. I used to average around 11.4l/100km in the same daily conditions as you. Open road with cruise control on 140 I used to get low 8's and sometimes high 7's.

Its not a 325i LCI but it should give you some indication.

They at least 12-14 years old now so take your time and check it out properly. Rather pay a bit more for a better kept example than one thats cheaper but will need a lot more work.
