BMW E90 320i Msport - tyre recommendations

Hi guys,

I am in the process of changing my tyres, I have the 17" twin spoke wide & narrow msport wheels 225/45/17 up front & 245/40/17 in the back with Bridgestone Potenza runflats.

I want to change to non runflats due to the ride comfort, improve lifespan & weight benefits.

Can you share your recommendations on a tyre well balanced between cost, lifespan & performance. Would be great if you can also share the mileage you achieved if possible.

Thanks for the help in advance

Falken Ze912 or the top of the range Fk452s on my Ze912s ive got about 70% life left on the rears and have done about 30 000km so far on an E46 330d. Best bang for your buck and performance is really good for the price. I wouldn't look at premium brand high performance tyres due to the nature of the vehicle

And if you do some searching on the forum normal tyre's come out on top over run flats every time.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you get them for? I purchased a full set two weeks ago as well.

RFT's are the Devil's work.

Not the biggest fan of RFT's myself, but my biggest annoyance with them is that it seems that it is impossible to have RFT's fitted or removed from a wheel without the wheels getting nasty scratches and chips on the rim edges, or the tyre places are just useless.

Glad you came right bud! - Looking myself to replace my tyres when I find the right set of replacement rims.

Sorry for the thread hijack....but are there any issues with the insurances companies when changing over to NON run flats and NON oem rims?

would love to get something like:
