Good Morning Fanatics

Today I present to you a BMW E90 320D which my client booked in for a one day Enhancement Detail.

The car itself was in very good condition with a fair amount of swirl marks, a few RDS and slightly dull paint.

The mag wheels, in true BMW fashion were pitted with tar deposits and in desperate need of some good cleaning.

I started off by spraying the mags down with Liqui Moly Tar remover, followed by Chemical Guys Tar and Bug remover. These were agitated with brushes and allowed a few moments to work their magic.

The car was foamed down, hand washed and toweled dry:

Take a look at how the rear mags came out, much better with the front mags still showcasing some more stubborn grime.

At this point the car was prepared for polishing, plastics taped up and pulled inside for work to begin.

I achieved about 80% correction all round, with a combo of a firm Flexi Pad and Chemical Guys Correction No. 1 which was followed by a final pass with Ultimate Compound just to finish off.

The engine bay was scrubbed down and then it was time to finish off.

I decided to use Chemical Guys Extreme Top Coat Sealant with a layer of XXX Hardcore Paste Wax. Arches and trim were dressed and windows cleaned. The interior was given a thorough vacuum and leather moisturized.

A few after pictures:

I think the results were fantastic, with the paintwork looking glossy and full of wetness.

What do you think?

I dont really have any close up pics. They came out good, a huge improvement but in the corners there was still some pitting and tar deposits which would have required quite a bit more work.

Just one question, you basically covered the engine bay with foam so you would have to hose it down. Is this safe to do?
I was told to maybe use a shammy to wipe off the dirt from the engine bay and that hosing would be dangerous?
BTW great work as usual

It depends on how you do it, I tend to do a very light spray of APC mixed with Maxi Suds to help it foam. There is actually only about (in total) a glass of water in that engine bay. The foam just makes it look hectic.

I then tend to use my High Pressure Hose, but standing about 2 metres away so by the time the water hits the engine bay its a fine mist and blasts the dirt off. Once done I leave the bonnet open and let the car idle for 10 minutes to dry the water off.

I have never had an issue doing it this way, but I know its not recommended to use a normal hosepipe as the way flow is way too much.

The pricing I have is standardized, and is so good you really dont need a discount.

This detail was a one day Enhancement which costs R750.00 and we come to you. Absolute convenience! :bravo:

Let me know if you want to book your baby in for some pampering. :joy:

i think i must go to cape town this year for a holiday

Will post a bit more about this later on - trying to get one or two things sorted out before I post. Nothing major, just some minor scratches caused by stupid people. :nonono:

I've used Sonax Extreme mag cleaner. It is the best i've tried so far, but even that, does not totally get rid of that caked-in grit!

You also say that your Liqui Moly also doesn't work.

What DOES then work?
