BMW E90 2006 - No reverse on Tiptronic

If anyone had the same issue on a E90 320d and can help... A friend of mine's vehicle will not engage reverse even if you put the vehicle in reverse, the vehicle does not move. All the other gears work fine, it's only a reverse issue. The vehicle has a Tiptronic gearbox, which I know nothing about......

Would resetting the 'learning gearbox' maybe help?

I know ppl say you reset the throttle response but in fact you reset the 'learning' shift pattern of the auto box. Worth a try imo.

More I can't say as I have a manual box. Good luck bud.

Infamous issue on the E46 auto box's that seems to have appeared on the E90. If I am not mistaken its the reverse gear solenoid which is the issue. This can be replaced, maybe contact ZF as they can service the Box and might also be able to change the solenoid. :thumbs:
