BMW E46 inpa help

Hello gentlemen. I have a BMW e46 318i and replaced my abs module. I want to code it to the car. I purchased the inpa Cable with the switch and software. I am running windows 7. I installed the software. It's not connecting . Ignition and battery shows "off ". There is no option for drivers under My computer - device manager / USB port. Only printer port. Removed the program and Downloaded inpa 0.5 and installed. Same issue. It's not connecting. It giving me a headache. Am i missing something. It seems that the program is properly loaded but simply can't connect to the PC via the cable.
Any help please.?

You have to set the USB Serial (COM) port settings for the INPA cable as COM1 with latency at 1 msec.

Thanks a million. Managed to sort it out. Microsoft see both battery and ignition ON.

I got mine off a member of Facebook BMW e46 club SA. Paid around R700 including courier. Well worth it for a matching number unit.
