Bmw e46 ecu swap

Hello gays , i just receive my new ecu ews key full pack. Somebody know what to do, i mean how to swap them. Do i need to reprogram key or just simple take old one out and put the new one. The reason to swap is the old one is broke (diesel in fuel tank) the car is e46 320ci 2002 thx for attention

What are you actually replacing ?

THe EWS module with complete keys, are they new or second hand.

You say ECU, are you referring to the DME.

If these items are new, or only the EWS.keyset new, they will need to be coded and the ISN number synced across DME and EWS

A second hand EWS with keys will not work on an existing DME without some fancy footwork,

If you buy a used DME with matching EWS, that will work without coding, the car will start, but you will have a tamper dot on the cluster.

Please give more details, and I will try and advise.

Its second hand with same details dme everything i swap them already but the car still not start and can't lock unlock woth the new key(also ews module its change)
