BMW e46 320i sports pack - Fuel consumption

HI guys

I recently purchased an E46 320i individual and I have a similar problem, was there any resolution found for this problem?

change the fuel filter... its typically an ignored part because of the price, has a built in fuel pressure reg which can collapse/fail inside it leading to loss of power and economy..

SINCE ITS DIRT OLD!!! lol

but what was the result of this? would be interesting to know.
Cause the best i got Driving like Miss Daisy was 13L/100km range..
Now its on a consistent 14.4L/100km ...

Seldom does it change.
No rich fuel smell, no leaks ( I happened to fix the only leak i found. )
Fuel Filter was not changed
Dyno tune was not done

The OP can maybe update this thread?

(Searched. could not find anything else) ...

While I get 12.5 -13.5 l/100km on my 2+ton 3.6 v6 in town, and 10.6 on the open road. My car is very economical it seams. Not that I really car about its economy.

dude thats mental! my e46 330ci auto gets around 13-15l/100km's. thats with me driving like a knob and with the AC on most of the time :crazylaugh:

I drive worst then a knob got a very very heavy foot and drive the car in DS all the time ...
