interesting to see how passionate the e39 owners are. really a good sign of how great the e39's are. it shows how much they believe in the greatness of their machines.

No2.DCT-Box would take you any day anytime with a Drag with the same car as a manual promise you..
No.3 Only chance you have is on a Lap then i shall agree that you might beat the slush-puppy, that is said if you drive like "Stick" but a normal guy like you only use your car for down town milk and bread bypassing all the robot sorry you would be beta of with a smg. You would then have time to get down town coffee too. :dunno:

@ Kinnear - The reason for the tread was to check how the E39 Compare to the newer E60 models.

Eample: If you buy a new car going for R119 900 and its a 2005 E60 525i but there is also a 2002 E39 528i for R60 000. Then why Going for something newer that cost more in maintenance, you need to pay more for some extra's etc etc. if you can get say for example the E39 528i kit out with everything that maybe the newer car doesn't have.

Then also you have some extra cash to spend on the E39 and do your own thing. And best of all it's still a BMW... :thumbsup:
