When you unplug the sensors won't it damage something on the ECU or so.....don't want to unplug them and damage something.....went this morning to the exhaust shop and removed the cats....now that is sorted out....

What do you do if fitting branches and freeflow ? Are the two sensors still used , my '96 328i has the two sensors on the exhaust manifolds , but no further sensors in the exhausts ?

Hello guys, if the sensors a faulty. You can plug them out, won't damage anything.
The sensor has 4 wires each. Ever wondered why? 2 for the O2 sensor, 2 for sensor heater. So this sensors are in fact called heated O2 sensors.

According to what I have come across over the years all 323/328 e36s have only 2 lamba sensors located in the branches. Only from e46 and on did they have 2 pre cat sensors end 2 post cat sensors. (I personally think the E36 setup is better an much more economical to repair)

PS, my car have wildcat branches fitted and a freeflow. And the sensors are still located on the branches
