BMW E36 318is over heating after gusket change, new the most art and new radiator

I need help ....My car was over heating and blow the top head gusket, so I replaced that, bought a new themostart and radiator. However after driving about a 100 km the temperature started to go up again

Now I don't know what is wrong and out of ideas....please help

Did you have the head checked for cracks and had it skimmed before putting it back? Sounds like either a warped or cracked head to me. Also, you have to have the heater turned on to max to get a proper bleed when filling the radiator with water. Also important to use 50/50 mix antifreeze. Always use BMW antifreeze for best results.

I have exactly the same issue, but on a E46 manual. Mechanic just finished head gasket job, drove less that 20 KM car overheating again.

Please let me know once you have found a solution.

The head was pressure tested and skimmed before putting it back on....I will try the heater bleeding didn't try that...I have been told to buy a new water pump and fan belt....
