Howzit bud, have you cleaned the idle control valve yet? try that, if the issue still persists unplug the maf. if it that stops some of the symptoms then its most likely the issue

Hi bud, cleaned icv problem was still there, disconnected the maf now and problem is gone, can I still drive it like that? Cleaned the maf, no change, can the mag sensor itself be stripped and inside cleaned or rather get a new one when I can?

Faulty MAF could easilly be cause high fuel cons and loss of power, and I don't think it can be cleaned internally, best is to get a new one. Maybe you could ask a friend or someone on the forum if they could swap their known working one for a few minutes too be 100% sure that the MAF is the issue.

Not driving one should be okay for a while but you will have heavy consumption.

Thanks, that's my issue fuel consumption, since I got retrenched, I have to drop my wife off come home then go back and sitting in the traffic will kill me. Got a price for R800 new

ok definitely the maf, if you cleaned it and it didn't make a difference a new unit is the best option:thumbs:
