Ok guys I'm new to this forum and I'm here to learn so if i ask dumb questions im sorry. First my brother and I are thinking of making a custom exhaust system for my e30 using 2 1/4 stainless steel straight back no cat (maybe resonator) am I going to gain power or loss power by going that wide on the piping? Any response will be great and knowledge of my situation will help me out a lot thanks

2 1/4" pipe....that's a bit big don't u think. It's gonna make more noise than anything and you'll have no torque ag the bottom. If the car is NA then I would advise against it. Please I'm no specialist. It's more from what I've read and learnt on this forum........

Speak to some exhaust guys about what would be good for your application.
