So went to the Castrol show yesterday with my GF, on the way back on R55, we are just cruising along the right lane going towards woodmead. Next thing I hear my GF saying that WTF is this X5 doing tailing her like a mofo!

So the X5 went to the left as there is no cars on the left lane AT ALL, cut my GF badly and stopped! So granted it was a red light, light turns green, he doesn't move and keep looking thru his rear view mirror. So my GF move to the left lane and the the light turns red again. The X5 rolled down his window and just give us a death stare:slow: like he was going to do something. I just told my GF to leave it:ignoring:...

Then light turns green and he just drive next to my GF and keep push her off her lane, I just told my GF to over take this mofo coz this guy is a IDIOT:are-you-for-real-:

How manly does this guy feel to pick on a girl with a corsa opc? what a LOOOOOSSSEERRR:thumbdo: I want to see him try that BS when I'm in my car:angry:

Hi all, I am not planning to belabour the matter, but truth be told, how many drivers are out there just cruisin below the max speed in the overtake lane instead of keeping left? This scenario plays itself off on a daily basis on our roads. The driver wanting to (break the law) bmo overtaking or passing waits in vain for the front driver to make way. There are also the "sense of entitlement" many drivers display when storming down on you. This type of driver starts flashing on approach, jumps on your tailgate (at 120km/h plus!) and gesticulates. By now you are also agitated with this arrogance and aggression (automatic response: "###!" this person, I will show him/her to try and intimidate me/ us!!). You also cannot predict the next move in doings so, delay your left lane movement out of fear of the follower to suddenly lurch left. This aggressive driving display comes mostly from some of us bmw, mercedes, jaguar, suv, etc. drivers. Our mindset as drivers are still very immature and at times very self-centred and we by default expose ourselves, loved ones/ passengers and other road users at risk of injury or possibly death (only those affected by the aforementioned behaviour, I must note) and this causes a lot of carnage on the road.

While I may be a tosser, I am not that big of a tosser. I get extremely pissed of by people in the right lane "doing the speed limit" when in reality they are atleast 10km/h below it. Then a further 10km/h below the finable limit. They then proceed to drive illegally in the right lane as they are not passing other cars. So in reality you have someone driving illegally in the right lane below the speed limit, who is forcing me to break the law by passing them on the left.

So while the reaction on the X5 driver was inexcusable... your girlfriend was in the wrong. And the fact that she was "surprised" to suddenly see the X5 says she was not paying attention iether.

1.The guy in the X5 is a douche, regardless what you did or what happened you don't cut people off or try push them off the road or do anything reckless.

2. The right lane should be kept open as much as possible and if there is another road user that wants to pass (regardless if they are above the speed limit), they have the right to do so. The point being is that one doesn't know their intentions, they could be having a medical emergency and are trying to get to hospital, I'm not trying to defend speeders.
