Same here.... not my intention to stir up anything but I agree with you. Even if the road is quiet, i'll keep left to avoid things like this from happening

Yes maybe she should have kept left, but the X5 must of been coming up at a crazy speed for her to get a fright/surprise. There was no cars on both lane on the way back.
I'm just pissed off at the guy for taunting and give us dirty look like he owns the road. 1st and foremost for us the driver is the safety. And for the guy to drive recklessly, he could have easily rear ended us (no pun intended haha)...
Just because the guy is coming at crazy speed, law abiding drivers needs to watch out for jackass's like that? Why couldn't he go on the left lane then? He had no emergency, he had no blue light, why must he tailed my GF with no traffic?
When people do that, I just slow the F down and they can over take me on the left, I could care less who they are and what car they drive. I'm not gonna let a idiot cost me a accident or get a ticket!

Its like driving 120 on the freeway in the fast lane and expecting all faster moving vehicles to overtake on the inside lanes as you are obeying the speed limit! It doesn't work like that. If you think it does, don't be surprised at other drivers' reactions :rollsmile:

I don't understand how my gf is wrong on this as I clearly state the guy over took her from the left lane. So what she needed to do was to cut to the left lane in front of him and get him more pissed off?
why would you want to block a faster car?
no doubt the guy in the X5 is a complete tosser... but why would you want to spend any more time around someone like that anyway?
i watch my mirror constantly even though i travel 130 if i see someone coming up behind me i move so i dont slow him up its just common courtesy...

by hogging the fast lane you be just as much of an asshole as the guy you came up quickly behind you... if you dont want to watch your rear mirror just move one lane over its not hard...

@cal - keep yr pants on man. i am not defending the guy. if you look back at my previous post, you will notice what i said about his behaviour. what worries me more though is that you are trying to justify your gf's bad driving!
when someone is hogging the right hand lane in front of you don't you get frustrated? what do you do, overtake on the inside? *buzzer noise* wrong answer! you shouldn't have to! that person should not be hogging the fast lane. you would gain more support in this post if you acknowledged that your gf is a bad driver :tease:
that way we can vent at the x5 driver for acting like a tool!

IMO, just indicate and move over at moderate rate. Any sudden moves can have the p#$%^&K smack into the back of you, If quickly moving over and he suddenly decides to overtake to the left. Indicating whist moving over will make him think twice about the going left option.

If the X5 wants to tail someone, why doesn't try to tail someone who has a similar car and not a girl drives a corsa:thumbdo:
What worries me is people like you think is ok to drive at any speed at the fast lane because they have a fast car, is because people like you that we have metro trying to trap motorist everywhere and anywhere.
