On the subject of decats; I have heard alot but what are the real advantages. I have the Schnitzer exhaust and wondering what the result would be to teh drivability sound and importantly power. Last time I checked my house is high enough to not really worry about global warming, so not phased with the emissions

From inside and outside the car. also do a drive by with someone else recording.

Just watch out for powerflow in Randburg.. Dean0 didn't have such a good experience there iirc.

Its 1K for sure, I beleive the sound is awsome, having mine done in a couple weeks

its such a damn simple thing to do, they either cut them off and replace it with straight pipe, or they cut it off right before the cat and empty out the crap inside.. and just weld the pipe back on again... unless they have flanges.. then its easier..
and it makes a HUGE difference to your sound... will sound much better without the cats.

How will it affect my car? Engine light on or exhaust reading problems?

On a slightly different topic, I've heard that the crap inside usually contains some pretty expensive metals - hence the reason why cat replacements are so expensive. Anyone know more about this ???

yes.the material inside is platinum...so if you get the decat remember to take ur old cats with and u can get about R100 for a box at a scrap metal place....that is what i got

I've personally experience Power Flow Fordsburg, not for a decat but I was very happy with their service.

Are you guys decating in or out of Motorplan? hmmmmmm.....

Would just a middle decat of the cat under the car void motor plan? No one seems to know for sure
