Surely the middle cat being removed is a giveaway? Don't have to remove the exhaust to see that one :)

Im talking about only the rear cat, in the box,

They drop the exhaust out, cut open the top, gut it, and weld it closed again.

Its a 2005 with 58,000 km , motor plan till next year july i think and 100,000km.

I do about 15,000km a year, going to extend it...

the only time it ever sucks to have a motor plan

the problem is that if something craps out say in the engine bay and they find that you have tampered with the exhaust then they can deny any claims stating that it was as a result of the mod u have done that the certain part crapped out.....the stealerships are full of crap...

Yeah, these work very well. My friend Louis is the guy that makes them, he started Stingray exhaust but has since sold the company to someone else but they still supply the cat foolers.

do these work on the newer models too for lambda errors that the decat gives?

Howzit guys

I'm new to the forum, just want to know does the E36 M3 3.0 1994 model have catalytic converters in them ? If so a de-cat will be taking place:)

Theo, back in 1994, we only had leaded petrol available, hence the 3.0 M3 (the ones brought to RSA) do not have cats (or dogs). No de-cat necessary:)

Yes, they work for any post-cat sensors in the exhaust. Some BMWs like my 330i for instance only had two sensors which were before the cats so with a cat delete I didn't need the cat foolers (bung). On an M3 you have 4 sensors, two pre-cat, two post cat, you put the bungs on the two post cat sensors. Inside the bung is the honeycomb which cats are made of, so the sensors still read a signal which runs through a mini cat.

after a decat, software tuning will remove any warnings and improve performance.
My old e46 m3 had software and decat, it was very raspy after the decat!!
