BMW Connected Drive Remote Services F30

Hi Fanatics

Anyone know what range remote services work with connected drive ? I've read somewhere its no more than 1.5km , which is total bull because I tested the service from Jhb city center to Club Motors Randburg, and it worked like a dream ! So what is the official distance ?

It works via the SIM card installed in the vehicle afaik. So if it has signal it should work

Didn't seem to work , when in CT & car in Jhb, however seems to work when back in Jhb. Hmm

At launch there was a 1,5km and 5km restriction on services,

That has since been lifted and there is no restriction.
