Bmw Choice, please provide an opinion

I, too, second the Toyota option for hassle free driving. I think it's proven itself over the years.

If she's set on the 1 series, then be set for higher maintenance costs compared to a Toyota, obviously. You can't buy a BMW which is known for other traits (driving pleasure? luxury?) and expect it to be similar to a Toyota which is known mostly for reliability.

It's BMW, after all. A status vehicle.

Yeah, at that price you cant go wrong with a dub and when you sell in 2 years you will get some of your money back.

Indeed.
These cars hold their value very well, not to mention the great fuel economy and reliability.
