e36 325i convertible

does anyone know if i can have my central locking control unit repaired???
The agents are looking a ridiculous price, and i cant seem to find spares for this car anyway where.

Does it not lock properly with the key? have you tried leaning against the door then pressing the lock button? it works with mine that way. there is a little switch on the chassis side of the door catch, if that is not lined up properly then it wont lock. does the windows go up and down when u drive over bumps? if its the case, just align the door catch with the door lock and that should sort out your issue. i hope its only that, the agents are insane!!

i found out that the part im looking for is actually called the General Module 5 (GM5)

so the locks and everything works, except when pressing the remote button
this same GM5 unit apparently controls the window & wipers as well
