Spoke to him a little while back cos my bru in law knows him well and he wanted R2k just for rear box and tails. I thought that it was a bit heavy but I may be out of the exhaust sceen for a bit and not realising what they go for these days.

So I want to decat but trying to maintain the standard sensors. What are your guys views about splitting the cats, emptying the crap out of it and stitching it again whilst using the standard sensors in them after I am done?

How badly does that affect consumption cos right now my V8 isn't bad at all.

Do all exhaust places keep bungs for the sensors to attach or is this something that isn't usually kept in stock?

honestly i would not have this done at any exhaust shop you need someone who can do it right...

chances are no one has decatted one of these before so you need someone who knows how to keep the ecu happy afterwards...

rather speak to the tuners they will charge more than an exhaust shop but they will be able to sort out any ecu problems you may have...

well my 1st choice would be chiplogic because i really respect the work they do... there are others that will also do a good job but thats who i would go to :)

I use this car everyday so it needs to happen while I wait. Can't afford to leave it and collect.

Have you spoken to the guys at viper? Abel tends to do alot of r&d and may have an optimum design for your car.
