Took delivery of the car on Saturday.:=):

A lot of car for the money. Used but not abused.

I am waiting for the dealers who maintained the car to forward me details of work done to build a history of car. Will take car to panel shop in new year to fix minor body blemishes. The right car for the purpose needed.

When comparing my E39 to my E60, it is rather amazing as to the weight of the doors, bonnet and bootlid being much heavier, imparting a feeling of solidity.

Yes, I enjoy the power delivery on the E60, but even more so enjoy the ride quality of the E39.

270 000kms + and she still soldiers on like the day that I had taken delivery.

To date, the only mods done on the car:- Towbar and Titanium Window Tint. The only major repairs/expenses on the car were 2 turbos, 1 pre-feed pump, full set radiator hoses, ABS pump and CD Shuttle (ABS Pump and CD Shuttle were "Stolen"/swopped out with dud units by a pr!ck of a workshop) and the Blower fan relay. It is the longest period that I have retained a vehicle.

Lovely car to drive when it is going

Had the following done to date
* Repaired steering rack, hydraulics leaking
* Replaced leaking water pump
* Removed swirl flaps

Car must go back to workshop to properly repair leak on diesel tank??

Radio righthand speakers dead, trying to trace the problem.
