hi guys,

ok so looks like I should be getting my 325i on Saturday. It's a 2007 model with 65k on the clock:

Just phoned BMW for the performance exhaust and they said it's 8.4k without the installation. That sound's really expensive just for the back part. Anyone know where I can get a cheaper BMW exhaust :D Don't want to lose my motorplan because I fitted an aftermarket exhaust

I want this sound:

yeah i was quoted R13,401 yesterday on my 335i coupe (exc labour)

I am in the same boat, seems your only option is either BMW performance or ACS if you want to keep your MP.

Wish we had more options, i would love a more aggressive sound but dont want to drop R15k and get a minor increase just because im scared of losing my MP. Seems a large waste of cash.

Who's ACS? Sorry have to learn everything from BMW now lol...

AC Schnitzer! JSN are agents for them in Randburg. They pricey but are mp approved.

Ahhhh.. ok cool.

If I can find a second hand one can I take it to BMW to get fitted? Or do they only approve a new exhaust :)

I really want a better sound but not worth paying 10k for a sound. Have to say feels like we are being ripped off lol.

You could have it fitted anywhere, shouldn't be a problem, even second hand i would think. But the problem is finding a second hand one..

Personally i think it is a rip off! I had a 325i previously and i enjoyed the sound track.I would suggest wait until the mp expires and then get a good system for a fraction of the price.I see it's an 07 model. When does your mp run out?

Yeah, unless you have an extended MP i would also suggest waiting for it to expire then go aftermarket. Cant be that long to wait.

For me having a 2010 model, the reality is that i will almost certainly change my car before it expires.

Guys,

What if you go to TnT or Powerpipes and ask them to make you a set of branches and full exhust in one piece?

Then you can remove your standard one in one piece and whenever you need to go into bmw take it back and fit on the standard one?

I mean how many times will you take it in a year depending if you have no issues with the car.....

Really??? :nonono:

Sorry bud, but that car sounds sick. Like there's a castle can in there somewhere.

I guess it's just me, but I don't think that suitsa 325i at all.

Tough being in MotorPlan to mod the cars.

good luck

I'm scared they will be able to see this when I take the car in for a service and the the motorplan will be voided.

Even installing a filter... Can they detect it when I take it in for a service?

Oh and my motorplan has been extended to xx/12/2013 or 100 000km (car has 65k at the moment) and I do around 1k per month so that's 12k per year :)

At the end of next year I will extend the motorplan for another year but no extra km and the cost is like R5000 then :)

So my motorplan will be valid till xx/12/2014 or 100 000km. By that time I will trade it in lolz...

Can I fit a K&N at least without going to BMW? Or will they detect that the airflow was above normal??
