Good Day,

I am new to the forum and currently in the process of buying a BMW E90 323i Exclusive

Should there be any specific things one should look for on the E90?

Thanks in advance.

Hey bud honest opinion the 323i is a good all round car but it falls short on power and the consumption is horrific as you have to rev it a bit high. I would honestly suggest an E90 320D or E90 325i.

The baby 6pots suffer at altitude very badly, if its meant to be moms taxi then I doubt she will complain but if you want to daily drive and live at the reef then either a 330 or boosted Diesal is the way..

Just for your info, the 323i and the 325i e90 has exactly the same engine capacity.
Rather get a 320d or a 330i.

Take it from me I recently trade my e90 LCI 325i 2009 65000km model for an F30 320d. And its faster and alive. Yes you will miss the sound of the 6 cylinder. But 450km on a tank of petrol for 325i versus 700km on a tank of diesel in town with a heavy foot.

Been there done that got the T- Shirt.

Just go test drive a 320d and see for yourself. Then drive a 325i again and decide

Thanks for all the info guys. test drove the car and must be honest it is a little 'weak' if you can call it that...especially seeing as my other drive is a Golf 6 GTI with more than its fare share of go-fast bits.

Made up my mind and bought it. Going to be used as a car for going to work and back daily so my other car can rest a bit and be used as a weekend toy.

Beg to disagree with the furl consumption there unless. Under normal open road driving I got less than 8l/100km..
Driving the crap out if it is still lighter than a 325i at worst 11l/100km..

And this is for 3 years now driving the car like this.. Yes it's a bit sluggish on the pull off but anytime of day not that much slower than the 325i... :=):

If there was a vid of the 1 ice cream run I sat easily with same model as mine 325i...

According to me it's a really nice car and yes they do suffer a bit up here at altitude and my no means will it ever be a G6 GTI, you can't even compare the two but as a daily drive they are awesome... in a straight line a GTI is faster than me but also not by much given you start playing over 160 and around corners the GTI didn't even come close given that most don't have the adaptive chassis/suspension but that's where the sport suspension in my 323i is awesome to play..

But again both awesome cars for what they made for and nice that you have both. :) play with the GTI as you have done cause the thrills of software on the turbo is great and the 6cyl bmw is an all round great drive.

Congrats on the 323i and would like to see more pics.:thumbs:

Again with the above said I am talking about a stock G6 Gti and not modded. :=):
