Bmw 320I msport 2009. Key Fob stop responding or working

Hello guys.

Please assist.

This moring my key fob was working like normal. After a few hours I went to the shops and when I came out the key fob wont respond to opening the car door or boot lid. I had to use the manual key to open.

I know that I have the rechargeable key as I don't have access to change the remote battery. I also checked the fuse box and all seems fine..

What could be the issue or problem ? Please assist. Appreciated in advance
