BMW 320D E 90 Turbo problem

Hi, I hope that some forum members could help me. My 2007 320d e90 has been smoking on start up and once or twice its lost boost. Recently I experienced a mini version of a runaway. All possible signs are that the turbo needs to be replaced. Does anybody know of a good place to get this done in Durban. Don't really want to spend the R25k at BMW dealer. The breather valve has already been changed but that has not solved the problem. Also does anybody have any experience with doing a recon of the turbo. Thanks in advance for the help.

What ever you do, dont pay the R25k just yet. I am 100% sure you can consider other viable options.

Hi I dont think they exist in Pinetown, cannot find a number for them.

Call BMW - They offer Turbo units upon trade of your OEM one. Could work out cheaper than a recon - and you have warranty.

The only one is now in Jhb. The one in Durban liquated many years ago.
