bmw 320d DDE box replacement

Good day all Im new in this site,hope it help me on the problems Im encountering on my E46 320d 2002 model,the car did not want to start until I realised that the dde controll box is missing,being stolen after parking the car for long at someones garrage , now my question is can i just buy a second hand dde box and put it on then will the car just start or will I lso need to take it for programing?

As far a i know, it will indeed need programming to your car, but maybe some one (contact Ratslaaf on the forum) could help you with more info. Welcome though, to the Forum!

Heh, I'm afraid I can't help with e46 as I stopped working on these years ago. But no, you cannot just use a secondhand module, it needs to be aligned to the EWS of the car.
