Guys,

Whats the top speed that you guys have obtained with your vehicle's.

I ran 260km/h:) on GPS hitting limiter in 5th gear. this was on flat piece of road.

Gone try again but with another GPS just to make sure.

oh, I would NEVER do a top end run. That would be against the law and completely un-acceptable..

but I did find this video of this one guy on youtube who did a top end run in a car like mine :) on an UP HILL partly also ..

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="
"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="
" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

I'm sure now that this guys car is manual and un-limited he will go over 255 or 260 also ..

btw, no idea who this is .. don't know the guy at all.

I did 283km/h on racelogic VBOX on stock diff after 45kw increase in power!the S.A M3 3.2 stock will get up to about 270km/h max!
the eurpean 3.2 will get there at the coast!
this is about 268km/h hard to take a photo over that and will not take the GF that fast

Isn't the 5-speed is only geared up to 262km/h at the limiter? .... stock....

We had my friends out to 260km/h max on the Vbox but i asumed they removed the limmiter just for that run!
The E36 3.2 is geared for 343km/h @ 8000rpm but even turbo'ed it will not get there!

so last night a couple of guys went for top end runs. Seat-mod, 335, Gti's-mod,Honda-VTR, M3's 2dr, M3's 4dr,subaru-wrx-mod, some spectators aswell.

It was bloody cold is all I can say.

I managed to hit 265 on GPS with.

Was great fun

i dont know what GPS speed that was, but my 3.0 can hit the rev limiter (7300rpm) in 5th on a level road..
Speedo was showing somewhere in between 260 and 270. That is also with the 4dr tyre size setup (225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 back). sorry to hijack this tread: why doesnt the 4dr have the "BMW" and the "Motorsport" in the centers like the 2dr? Are they of the same light weight forged type as the 2dr's? Do their offset differ?

I wonder if this guy would be keen for a test run on a private test strip some time?
