I have a BMW 2006 530xi (n52 engine). Basically the serpentine belt got stuck into the engine and i took out all the pieces out of the engine and oil pan and reset the timing perfectly with the correct tool. Now i'm stuck with it still cranking.. Did a fuel pressure, compression, and spark test. They were all good!
The car cranks heavy like it wants to start but does not start. I am getting fuel, spark & air. I changed the throttle body, cams and crankshaft sensors. Any sort of advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

2a3f - points to valvetronic power supply
2cf9 - throttle body
2d09 - butterfly valve

Check are you wiring harnesses and connections to make sure hey not broken or loose.
If 2 throttle bodies are doing giving the same errors codes then you might need to reset and relearn the settings for the throttle.

How do i reset and relearn the settings for the throttle? Could this be the cause of why it just cranks long and hard and almost starts? Thanks for replying also! Really appreciate it!

Should be able to reset it with a tool like INPA.

There should also be a procedure you can do with the key. No idea how it would work on your car, but adaptions can be reset on the e46 by turning the ignition from off to position 1, wait exactly 10 seconds then switch off again. You hear a click sound in the cluster to confirm the reset.

Could this be the reason why my car cranks hard, but does not start? I was thinking of changing the ignition coils.
