BMW 135 Yes or No

I am looking at getting myself a 135, always wanted a 1 series sedan. I saw 1 in Van Der Beijl Park for R299 99 with 46k on the clock.

1stly, is it worth it. I know car prices have sky rocketed recently.

2ndly, any opinions and what should I be looking out for. A friend of mine told that they have petrol pump issues.

R299k not a little money, so really doing my homework on this 1

Just an addition, has anybody had experience with Fouche motors. Was it good or bad ?

Bmw cars are over rated, get yourself a little Uno pacer....now those things are worth owning :roflol:

Jokes aside, 135i's are epic cars and you won't be disappointed when buying one, I am sure there are many guys on the forum that can vouch for that.

a Few things you need to check before buying one is obviously the service history/comments on the car, this can be easily checked bmo the VIN no at any BMW branch.

2012 with 46 on clock seems a bit low....anyway

Hope it's a N54 if you want to tune the car!!

Lovely cars that will bring a smile to your face every single day, but can be very temperamental and expensive to maintain with no MP.

Don't get that one but get a 135i

Plan history is important, sometimes comments are just cosmetic but helps to get one with a clean history.

Also a good options list will enhance the experience and have better resale value if you decide to sell.

Good luck with your search!

Thanks for all the comments guys, really appreciate. I always say, if its too good to be true, it probably is.

Can I ask why not that one ? I posted this in another forum and few guys said stay away from Fouche motors

it doesn't have the M sports package for one
it doesn't have xenons
it doesn't have a sunroof
those are 3 big missing options when time comes to selling it

look at mine in the for sale part of the forum :)

1. Check rear brakes, if they were done before 40,000km, ask some more questions or dig deeper.

I owned 4 (1 N54 manual, 1 N55 manual & 2 N55 Dct's) they special cars,
They have a thick slab of torque low down and willing to rev, but runs out of puff and power falls off after 5800rpm. Also terrible off the line, a bit fidgety on B roads but very v-e-r-y fast on top-end and not much will embarrass you from 2 click speeds onwards. Definitely a high speed missile.

Happy hunting :coolShake:

To add to this
no climate control
exhaust looks to be changed which it not done properly devalues the car

Nothing wrong with Fouche...reputable dealer.

As previously mentioned, the lack of MSport, Xenon, Sunroof, Climate Control...

Manual is a plus if you plan on building a full on track car, which this car might have been used for due to low km? Check the plan history, frequent brake/disc changes could confirm this.

This is a very basic 135i which is good for the fun factor but might not be suited to a daily commute.

Its not.
M sport on 135i coupe is different.
M sport has different mags, climate control standard and few other minor changes like the steering wheel, etc

The convertible is an MSport, OP is looking at the Coupe which is not!
I know he's looking at the silver coupe...Look again. It's a Motorsport with massive front splitters. The rear bumper is a dead giveaway.

M Sport.

All 135i models have MSport Bumpers.

MSport has anthracite roof lining, silver interior inlays, climate control, different steering wheel M Logo, etc as standard.

The 120d and 125 came with those standard bumpers if MSport wasn't ticked.

This is a 135i with exclusive pack option, the wheels and steering are exclusive pack. Bumpers all the same.
