Lovely cars. Mine has treated me extremely well and I just went past the 250k mark. If I could suggest adding anything to your list it would be to check the following:

1. The drain at the computer box...many e90's have drowned from such a simple thing. Gert on the forum here recommends drilling some extra holes actually.
2. Check the health of your serpentine belt and crankshaft pulley. I know it seems random but some people have had catastrophic failure of the belt and it destroys their engine.

I had my computer box drown and I had crankshaft pulley explode on me. Fortunately the belt didn't get caught anywhere so I was fortunate to just replace the crankshaft and do preventative replacement of the belt at the same time. It happened in a parking lot at idle which helped my cause I believe. I hope your car treats you well...enjoy the amazing balance between consumption and power.

Another thing to add...check if your car has any recalls:

Thanks. I'll check on these things.

Had some time this so I decided to figure out why the front bumper is not fitted 100%. Tried new screws at the corners and the left side was not taking thread. So I removed the bumper to investigate. Found only 2 screws on the bottom, 1 screw holding the wheel well trim to the bumper and 1 screw at each corner. Missing parts at the bottom were the bumper adapter and deflector lips ( left and right). The left bumper guide was broken and the right side not fitted properly. The headlight bracket screws into the bumper guide and guess what no screws there too. I ordered new parts and all the necessary screws and screw holders from BMW as I had no time to go to scrap yards. Received parts on Friday. Came home from work Saturday morning and made time to get things sorted. In order to get things done right I had to remove the headlights to fit the bumper guides. Then refit headlights and screw them to the guides. The headlights were a pain in a## because of the washer unit in front. I struggled with removing and refitting. Did one side yesterday and the other today. Test fitted the bumper and it fits perfectly. Will try to fit the bottom parts one of the days.

The parts

I need advice on getting the suspension sorted out. These are the prices I got.

Goldwagon
Bilstein b4 R5600
Stabilizer links front R355 each rear R225 each
Shock mounting front R695 each rear R261/ R345 each

Koni str.t R5600

My plan is to put the koni str.t with normal tyres and change both stabilizer links front and rear. Do I need to change the mountings as well and are any other parts that I'm missing.

Thanks

Update
I had an issue with the front right LED indicator which stopped working. Had to find a replacement.

Gearbox service was done yesterday. Gear changes are a lot a smoother. No faults and everything was within spec. Great service from ZF.

I've bought the stabilizer links from Goldwagon and will be fitting them this weekend.

I started cleaning the leather yesterday. Did the back seats and today finished the fronts. Only took a few pics.

Came out with a nice matte finish and feels softer . Still got the door pads to do.

Thanks. Regarding the shocks I cleaned up the wheel well area and noticed some oil on the fronts. I'll monitor it and if I see oil there again I'll get them changed. I read on the net that it could be shock sweating.

Thanks. I don't understand how and why people neglect their cars. I just want to get everything back on track.

Hi guys. Thanks for the comments and the advice when I was purchasing this vehicle. Due to personal reasons I had to sell the car. It was urgent so no time to advertise on the forum or anywhere else.

Thanks

Sorry to see the car go, you actually took really good care of it.. Hope the next owner does the same.

At least you have one other diesel burner, a rather special one at that.

Interesting to see the 6-pot grilles on a 320d.

Previous owner must’ve liked chrome

Weird how the okes with the chrome grills want black grills and the okes with black grills want the chrome ones.

Car looks incredible after the glaze, holy moly!!!
