Bit of a scare

Gents need some suggestions here

Driving home earlier i noticed the car was going a little bit left to right and vica versA, like a heavy wind blowing onto your car type of effect, got abit of a scare and felt like she was struggling abit for power but not cel lights or anything like that, so carried on driving and decided to sway the car myself left then right and vica versa.....Next thing the front right tyre feels like it's grinding and DTC light flashes, got her straight again and nursed her home.

Any suggestions where I can start looking or anybody experienced this before

Once again, thanks gents.

Im no expert in this but I would first check the wheels , Bearings , brake pads , disks , and calipers . Lift the wheel of the ground and spin it , see if there is resistance or noise , then take the wheel off and inspect the components .

If you say that the right tyre feels like it's grinding then it sounds like something has seized or holding the car back? Possibly the brake caliper is touching , or the wheel bearing itself is going? This might be causing the light to come on .

Did you not maybe drive on oil or slippery surface? DTC lights will flash if wheels are loosing traction and DTC has kicked in to keep you going straight. The grinding you heard was probably the brakes when DTC was kicked in.

Road was completely dry bud, and DTC only kicked in hard when swerveing.
