Reviving this thread - I am thinking of getting an ELM327. Would it work with Bimmercode / link?

I saw Morribiscuit mentioned it can be temperamental. I have a mate who can lend me his ELM327 device but he is unsure if Bimmercode / link will work on it

I have a Bimmer X adapter for sale that works with Bimmer Code and Bimmer Link.
