Bilstein Shocks on F30 MSport

Howzit,

I’m planning to change the shocks on my 2015 BMW 320i MSport and I’m thinking of going for a slight lowering as well.

Has anyone used the Bilstein B8 Shocks or B12 which come with Eibach Prokit Springs? Any comments on comfort, handling etc?

I’m wanting to stay as close as possible to the comfort of the MSport setup with a slight drop for aesthetics and bit better handling.

What can you’ll recommend?

I’m currently running on the 19” 403m wheel with runflats and planning to go to the 20” MPerformance wheel.

The Bilstein shocks are great replacements, they will provide better performance and less body roll... Might slightly stiffen up things slightly but that how they increase Performance... I'm Busy fitting a set of Bilstein shocks front and rear on a customers Z4M and its really nice quality stuff...

Just replacing the shocks wont be bad but the majority of your comfort will be lost when you go lower with the springs... That being said, I've had koni, Eibach and H&R springs fitted before and i always felt that Eibach was more comfortable spring from the lot.

You will end up with a stiffer than stock suspension when you go lower but i doubt you will regret it... Let us know what you decide.

Since you going bigger on the wheel , you will be going on a lower profile tyre, which means less comfort.

I'd highly recommend fitting coilovers. Bilstein or Koni and you good to go.

Just make sure you get the right one for your spec, GW gave me B4's and was supposed to be B8's, shock performance after 1 year is gone, because of that, car is floating at the front.
