I am pulling the trigger on these in January.
Twinz is the ride on the comfort setting software softer than stock on M Sport springs?

Hi George

Its been such a long time that I cannot remember the comparison anymore. I had the kit on my previous 335 as well and as you know our cars get modded so quickly that I have no idea what stock "feels" like anymore.

But you can set the height of the ride as you wish and the higher, the softer. The highest setting is better than the stock sport mode and more comfortable. I am on the lowest possible setting because I believe the car moves quicker off the line and in the corners being low as possible and the ride is "comfortable" but potholes and big uneven surfaces are not good for you on the lowest setting...its def meant for the race track. When you activate the "race" mode the suspensions stiffens instantaneously and the car feels so incredibly competent especially at the lowest setting....like its glued to the road surface. I wish i could drive in this mode all the time if it was not for our crappy roads.

The advantage you have, when you buy the kit now; you will get the updated ride control system. Its now using new bushings and stuff and...apparently its a simillar bilstein system used on the new Nissan GTR....so they say.

But once you have the kit installed you can choose the ideal setting for yourself.

@Yunus. Unlikely man. The new M5 appears to be on the horizon in early 2012...so the 335 has to do duty untill then.

Thanks for the valuable feed back. What I am looking for is softer in the back as I have reached a traction limit now. My times are remaining constant with a increase in exit speed which means I am only gaining later in the quarter.

@ George

Your times are an indication that you are a very acomplished and competent driver and your 335 is just damn "hard" like they would say on the Hondaboys forum. I wish I had your skills. or is able to answer you with adequate experience of drag/track racing.

Browse youtube to check some videos of the bilstein kit in action on the track and drop a mail to bilstein to ask them the kind of track/drag related question. There is also the guy on the e90 forum from the UK who runs the track regularly with his upgraded turbos and ride control kit...perhaps he can reply more informative in relation to the Bilstein kit.

For my street purposes and the occasional tracking I am very pleased with the kit.

I assume you have either sold the car or still have it. As the techies who fitted it shouldhave done a better job IMHO by running the shock cable with the ABS line where it was designed to be routed I wonder if the cable was rubbed through as I suspect it could have been by the positioning near the push rod?

Also curious about how long you kept that setup in the car?

Here is my subjective review of the B16 Bilstein Ridecontrol Suspension for the e90 335. If you have read this review before just jump to the pictures or to the end to see someone else's review of my car with this set up.
