Cool, will await the PM :=):

I ask because my folks used to be heavy into the biker scene. They were in a few clubs I can remember.

i used to be in a biker club with bradster, there were 5 of us.

We called ourselves the biker mice from the south.

Was fun, we were so hardcore i once had 2 chocolate milkshakes in one day.

Sorry guys, got a nasty surprise over the weekend from the Harley.

1 x dead battery.

Less than a year old. So sorting that out.

Also in the final process of a possible new position as well.

Should all be sorted shortly.

Good luck Mc M.!

Let us know how it goes!

I went to Fire it Up on the weekend to test my battery. Test said health was 74% and charge was 52%. But she struggles to start sometimes.

They suggested getting a trickle charger - so now looking into that.

Your thoughts?

74% health sounds good, 52% charge sounds poor. How often do you ride your bike?
If you're in my area, which Fire It Up is, and your battery is similar to mine, we can swop and compare info...

Thanks man, much appreciated.

I think it is mainly that I don't ride enough. So probably best to get a trickle charger to help maintain a charge. Thinking of getting this one: moto-quip 4amp-intelligent-battery-charger.

This is the original battery from new (2013 'Blade). I also always ride with the brights on - and although I swapped to LED, I am not sure if the lights draw too much compared to what it charges. Will do some proper investigation and calculation when I get the inclination!

I haven't got experience with that charger. I use the C-tek MXS 5.0
Even the MXS 3.8 is more than sufficient for your needs. These chargers have a 5 year warranty.

Riding with your brights will have no effect on your battery, if your charging system is in good order.
