Let me tell you this! I replaced my Michelin RFT with Pirelli P7 Cinturato NON RFT. I dont even have the words to express what a difference it makes. Just a total transformation! Amazing! :joy: I did extensive research (internet) and found this tyre to be the most quiet and comfortable. Great grip too. And let me tell you, these tyres are all it is supposed to be and more. I bought 4 tyres for R1299 per tyre at Autoquip. (225/45/17).

In a lot of situations good quality rubber does enhance the experience significantly!

I also find the Pirelli`s to be a good in between tyre, doesn't break the bank and grip as well as road noise is quite acceptable.

Not really fair to compare RFT to non RFT

Of course it is :dunno:

Ride quality/comfort is changed greatly when switching from RFT's to non RFT's.

Uh, No it isn't....and you even went so far to give the reason why it isn't yourself...

What good is comparing green apples with green apples? The outcome has no difference.

Compare red apples with green apples, and you have results.

Compare oranges with green apples, well then I understand there's no point...

Rather use your logic that falling back to a tired apples and oranges cliche.

If non-RFT > RFT and non-RFT A > RFT B you can't make the conclusion that brand A is better than brand B....to say this you need to compare RFT A with RFT B and non-RFT A with non-RFT B

I was not comparing brands.

I was addressing the statement above that it's not fair to compare non RFT's with RFT's.

....yet the topic is a comparison of brands and as such the comparison is not fair because the differing technologies ....if it was a comparison of technologies on the other hand, then you could compare RFT with non-RFT.
