Good day good sirs of the greatest forum on earth

A quick question, what are the best spark plugs to use on an E36 M3 coupe???

Currently I am using Bosch Platinum cathode jobbies, but is there better??? :fencelook:

Thanks for your valuable input, as always :ty:

Hey Mr!

I don't drive an M3. :( So I can't comment from experience.

But I would say Bosch is some of the best plugs out there!

What does the manual state?

from my knowledge bosch (Y5DDC) is for the S50B30 and PKR7A is for the B32. they are also different designs hence they can hamper performance if used in the wrong engine

Stick with the Bosch :)

They actually not badly priced from the dealer, I use to pay +-100 a piece for them, if you friendly with the parts guy he might give u a discount for cash too :)

The NGK is recommended for both , check the NGK catalogue:

http://www.ngksparkplugs.co.za/CatalogueHome.aspx

But i only used the bosch straight from the dealer.

i disagree with the catalogue y5ddc in a 3.2 the car misfires

if you order from the stealers for the 3.2 they supply ngk pkr7a
that is the oem plug
for the 3.0 y5ddc is oem
+1 there Hoosain. even my 3.2 never pulled right with the bosch in until i got the NGK. so i would say stick with Y5DDC for 3.0

But the catalogue is not for Bosch. It says the NGK is interchangeable. I have no clue whether the bosch would work on the 3.2.

Maybe only the NGK is interchangeable?

I only buy the Y5DDC for my coupe, straight from the dealer and have had no issues. Savspeed also put the same in my car when it was there.

the Y5DDC i had in my 3.2 and whenever i hit around 6000rpm its like all my cylinders died! those are perfect for the 3L but not 3.2L i put in the PKR7A and boy the car pulled like a bullet stright to cut out! I think stick to OEM it works best!
