Best Deal on a new 5 Series

Hi guys,

I'm interested in getting a new 520i.

Can the forum recommend any hints or tips for getting the best deal.

I've heard for example, that the outlying dealerships might be able to give better prices (at least for other makes).

Some dealers do look after their customers , so an extra or 2 is included in the deal .

always ask for a discount and don't be embarrassed to ask for one.

Get a quote from one dealer, go to another dealer and get another quote.
When going to the second dealer tell them you got a discount from the first dealer without telling them how much.
Just tell them to give you your their best possible price.

A mate of mine should be picking his new 328i this week and he is brilliant at getting a good price from dealers.
you wont believe the discount he got on a fully loaded 328i with options thrown in.:rollsmile:

next time I go to buy a car I am taking him with me...lol

Yeah - I got a quote from a dealer I have no intention of using - basically - they messed my motorplan extension on my E36 way back when - and I have an elephant memory.

But, when they gave me a quote - they asked for name and ID number - so I suspect a centralised system there...

And yes - I agree on not mentioning figures - I don't like playing people off like that - give me your best deal and if it's *the* best deal - you win!

So far, I've managed to get a sunroof and metalic paint for less than the website price for a non-metalic & non-sunroof spec ......

I'm also going to try these sites:
