polishing .....

This type of polishing is not normal , it's hand sanding first with (P2500) water paper to remove all the fish eyes and small runs.

Checking the finish and small scratches....

Polishing will take about +/- 27 hour to get right !!!

Back breaking work ,But Jason works hard and loves polishing.....

Getting closer to 100% paint finish....

Paint work close to 100%....

Last night we started with the extra wiring and bad connection and all the extra's that have been cut and pushed under the carpets and covers over the years,we cut out all the non OEM wiring and start to repair all the wiring by soldering and heat shrink and colour coding and taping,

Plus cleaning under all the carpets and covers and making a shopping list of all the parts we need..

First lets get it off the rubber and to working level..

When we say LEVEL we mean level ,so we can check all fluid levels and work inside and under it safely...

Checking the tyre sizes and condition and alinement ,so we know what to look at with the suspension...Pre-checks never stop at this level of repair..

Look at how dirty this is keep a eye on this pic and see the finished unit soon...

Please note NO copper slip on hubs rims jammed on and this is a major problem ,Lets start with if you have a flat wheel how are you going to remove the rim it will fall off the jack and break something and secondly when torquing the wheel to hub it must fit face to face plus more but I will get to that..

Getting stuck into the inside..

Stripped inside to find and fix wiring...

Enjoy M coupe " FANATICS "

Shew.... Didn't think you would have stripped this much. The colour of the spray job seemed to have overshadowed all the lurking faults.

Hello Guys,

Here are some more pics of the start of this Bespoke work on Greg's car and all the pre checks,

All my M cars get a full before and after photo report so my customer's get to see all the faults and problems without having to get under the cars and for the complete file with reports,

Greg was here this morning so we chatted about this build ,I need my customer/friend to feel part of the build because I'm just putting your dreams into play here..

YOU DREAM IT and WE BUILD IT ......

Jason removing the plastic covers.

Problems-cable ties holding brake pipes -not on!!!!

No air tools here - stripping down slowly to check if bolts are over torqued and they are always ...

Tape type wrong-needs cloth type...

Body and light miss alinement faults ,that eat me !!!!!!!!!!

Panels that have been bent in to "what" shape right is right ,wrong is always wrong and not 50% right !!!!!:nonono:

The hunt for the causes of fluid leaks and how we are going to repair them and what we need to remove to get to them..

Dirty..

Dirty...

Missing brackets and mounting points..

Panels that are put here to reflect heat waves are just so DIRTY, they are not doing that they where designed for...

Dirty ...

Sound proofing ,from people how can never look after what they are working on...

Enjoy ,
Cleaning and stripping to start sooooooooooooon :joy:

Bruce nice pics and not unusual to see half jobs being performed on these cars although it boggles the mind that someone would have torn the sound proofing like that..

The plastic tape in the bonnet is 100% correct.

Elton picked up that the rotors are facing back wards all round on this car ,must be like that so it works when you doing 0-100 km/h in reverse gear or something like that because there is no traction control on this car,Ha Ha...

We where just doing a walk around today looking at this beautiful car,Elton has an eye to detail that helps me build better car's if i've not seen it first,it's like a game to see how can spot the wrongs, before we strip it down and BOSPOKE her..

Thanks Elton for your help....

While you are in the boot I tease off the sound deading on the boot floor and check for evidence of the sub frame failing. You may see cracks around the welds.
