Belt codes for S/C Pulleys

ok, I've read myself silly on NAM, Outmotoring, wmw, and others about the Gates Belts...

Here's why I'm LOST -------

Lots say that Alta supply a 060539 for the 15%, but it's too long,
I've seen here in SA guys ask for the 6PK1385 code... but seems a 060539 can be 6pk1370 and 6pk1371 and 6pk1372 etc etc.. BUT remains a 1385mm Outer diameter ????

I think the one i want is 060535 more around 1379mm. (slightly smaller than the 060539 should be ok right?)

Here's info on Outmotoring:

Then i see there's a Cool Micro-V "AT" belt and here at Autozone i found a Micro-V "XF" belt which didnt look as good.

I see also the code on Willy's is a NAPA 060539 Micr-V "AT"

there are TOOOO many Voices in My head screaming the numbers!!! make the numbers STOOOP!!! :argh: :argh:

where can i get a (GATES/NAPA 060539/5 Micro-V AT here in PTA?)

The 6PK is the width. The 1385 is the length.

Go to any spare shop and ask for a 6PK1380 and they will have. When the one I had from outmotoring snapped, that's what I did and it worked fine.

hmmmm, i read a good post saying the 6pk1360-1365 is best?


but that said - i just got off the phone to Kaie from Autobax and he explained that a 20mm difference around all the pulleys should sometimes easily get taken up but the tensioner... they got 1360,1368,1375 &1390 maybe i'll put on a 1368 and check the tension... also he put my mind at easy about Gates XF being a very high quality belt actually...

Remember to tight and risk snapping, too loose and it will slip.

Okay, just checked now, I had bought a 6pk1370 as a replacement.
