I open this reply with the ending to one of the shortest Showroom threads that I created :dunnoanymore:
The past few weeks have been a good few weeks,
Done 2 matric ball drives, a drive to Hermanus and back and finished it off with the SA Beemer tunnel run

To recent events;
About 1 week after purchase we have the Whale and wheels show up in Hermanus, the drive overall was great and fun but when parking Becky off, I spotted a little bit of oil on the outside of the oil filter - because she didnt complain about loss in pressure or set a warning to say that there was no oil, I assumed that it was just the gasket that needed to be replaced. I topped the oil up before our drive back home and checked the oil again, she wasnt losing oil so called up the dealership and let them know about the leak. They told me to bring the car in and they would sort it out.
Got Becky back on Thursday afternoon, everything seemed fine
On the drive home at around 5000 revs I heard a knocking noise, called the dealership and told them what I picked up and said id take the car in the following morning to get it sorted.
All through this, they gave me amber (my previous 320i) as a courtesy car, which i laughed at.
On Friday morning I was greeted by 2 technicians when I arrived and listened to the motor, which then was confirmed by my biggest fear - a bearing knock :blueCry:
Both the dealer and I agreed on reversing the deal because I insisted that this be fixed with a new motor and not just skimming parts and re-boring.
It was short lived and hard to comes to terms with the fact that I just lost Becky, we had a good run but again everything happens for a reason
One last picture as I took her for the final drive
It was a fun journey, starting off with me picking off my first GTI to the twisty roads with another m135i chasing after the tunnel, to playing around just cruising lavishly through traffic to get the sound of that gorgeous straight six. To the blips as she went through the gears. This is a car that really made me enjoy a BMW
