Yep, seems to be a universal problem on BM's V8 and straight 6. You wanna just hear that lady sing as she gets to the red line :inlove:

Maybe that's why the newer turbo 4 pots are so fuel efficient - that tone is just not worth it, although VW seemed to have solved that problem with the GTI, but I'm digressing now .... :rollsmile:

Nah they are not that bad, I drive ours like a bat out of hell almost all the time when it is warmed up and it still returns very reasonable 16l/100km....

Looks like I might be going for the white 328i for now... Just sorting out some paperwork on the Honda for the next few days.

Got another plan in the works regarding an M3 - but more on that later. Thanks again for the advice gents - will keep you updated.
