Hey guys
I have 3 enthusiast versions of the Bavarian Tech diagnostic tool.
R3200 plus postage, if you're outside CT.

Read & Reset your check engine and fault codes without costly BMW dealer visits!

A true "game changing" product, the Bavarian Technic does everything a GT1/OPS system can and much more for a fraction of the price. Including reading/deleting extended codes, check engine light reset, tuner detection codes, and airbag light reset/codes. Also performs high speed data logging of over 600 parameters including knock retard, adaptation values, O2 sensors, boost targets, etc.

Bavarian Technic cable works on Engine, Airbag, ABS, Transmission, OEM BMW Alarm, Central electronics, Heating & A/C,And much more...

Plugs directly into your factory OBDII diagnostic port under your dash on the drivers side. Hardware
Our hardware solution consists of an adapter cable which has one end that plugs into the USB port of a laptop or desktop computer and another end that plugs into the OBDII diagnostic port of your car. Since our hardware supports USB it is compatible with most computers.

What does it do?
The tool accesses the electronic control units in your BMW to:

Read and clear diagnostic fault codes
Display shadow faults and soft faults
Display and record real-time actual values
Activate components of the car for troubleshooting
Reset service reminders
Reset condition-based service indicators
Send special commands to control units
Show ECU information
Access the latest BMW DCAN systems for 2007+ models

The Basic cable allows access for a single VIN, the Enthusiast cable allows access of up to 3 VINs, while the Professional version allows scanning of an unlimited number of cars.

I am a strong promotor of this tool. Every BMW/Mini owner MUST have this tool. It has many great features:

1. Updates are free. The tool gets updated via the internet on a weekly basis even the new MX5 & MX6 are covered now. (i think)
2. The software is intuitive and the graphics friendly and good looking.
3. You can datalog anything: while your car is running plug in the tool. Connect to your laptop and run your car at full throttle a few times and the computer readings will tell the entire story. I have to admit i do not understand all the tech jargon but you can send your logs to Bavarian technic to assist with trouble shooting (for free) or you can email your log to BMS and ask them nicely to interpret some of the data and there you have it all for free.
4. This tool will save you money. I had a call from PMAC some time back who had a problem with his car and ask me to scan it within a few minutes i could show him what the problem was and we could resolve the problem right there without an unnecessary trip to the dealer. And if you do take it to the dealer you can tell them what to check as i often do. sometimes i even give them my own scan printout and ask them to fix accordingly....nice :thumbsup:

:mmm::mmm::mmm:

I would like to do a demonstration of how this tool work but would like Matt to allow us to use Jezebel....and maybe a 320d. We do normal scan and some dataloging while running the cars going to the shop or something...no need to do serious running of the cars, just to get it at open throttle once or twice....should take an hour in total. Then we share our ideas and thoughts on the forum....possible?
