bad oil leak after service

took my car for service at cedar isle two days ago, drove around for a day without noticing that there was an oil leak from the car. The car has never had an oil leak before and to my surprise, when I drove into my garage after work yesterday, saw a paddle of oil on my floor. I then decided to pop the hood only to see that the under carriage cover is full of new oil :smashScreen:

I have a strong feeling that the person who worked on my car has damaged something or can it be that the sump plug got out?

take it back....record the event as well to have proof if anything fails due to it in the future.....
Could be they have not tightened the oil filter properly, just a thought..

:RedNo: Sorry pal, it really is irritating when you trust someone (especially someone that's supposedly trained and experienced) with something you care about and then they screw it up....

Had a similar issue with my car, they over tightened the sump and squeezed the washer, take it back to them

as expected, their explanation is that the oil is an old oil that got left on the under carriage cover when they were draining it from the engine. which is bull sh**t, the oil on my floor is new oil. also, how much oil can that cover hold, because there is a big puddle on the floor and there was still more oil visible on the cover:blueCry:

I had a similar issue with my Gti a few years ago where most of the oil leaked onto the garage floor after an oil service. I refused to drive the vehicle and made the VW dealership take my car back to the workshop on a flatbed to have it sorted out.
