Back in an M- F80 M3

Last time I was in an M was an F10 M5 in 2016.

Since then have been in an ML63 AMG Bi-turbo.

First impressions:
- M3 is a harder edged car than the M5
- reminds me of my old Z4 M Coupe in terms of "seat of the pants" experience
- Good ride quality
- Car seems flat (will check for codes today)
- Seems to suit my personality more than the M5, more extrovert in nature
- Traction is an issue

All in all, feels special.

Going to dyno tomorrow.
Any guesses on power estimates? Feels 250-265ish

More to follow.

Congrats on purchasing a great car!

As for dyno results I would guess around 300-310wkw or so. BMW is renowned for underrating power outputs of their cars lately :cartel:

I thought you ran already. Let me know when you plan to go and perhaps I could join you with my M3?

Congrats on the car.

250ish is way too low imo, there were B58;s running around that power.

300+ sounds about right.

Does the car pull fine until 4500-5000rpm and then just stops, sort of goes into limp mode? It won't allow you to change any settings for Throttle, Steering or Dampers?
If so, my car did that at a few dynos around JHB (Dyno Sport, KAR, FR&R). Nobody can tell me why, but Gav's car does it as well.

No not limp mode the car kept spinning off and readings were all off. The dude said about it's due the diff but I highly doubt it.
