Auto gear slip on e46.325i

any idea what would cause gears to slip or not engage .this only happens when its extremely hot. its a 325i tiptronic.2001 model. it is intermittent though.

Valvebody and or oil.

Any whining from the box what so ever ?

Either which way, you are in for some fun.

Gearbox den in randburg is about 4k to do a valve body, give them a shout.

Valve body or it could be clutches as well, its so hard to tell without stripping, and then you are in for $$$ if they do.. good luck man
