Once went there for some parts and waited a hell of a long time to eventually get crap service. I have never had a vehicle serviced there though...:nonono:

I have not dealt with them myself, so can't really say, and each person's experience differs from another - a friend of mine some years ago bought and took his Mini Cooper S to them for servicing and also for the Works conversion. Apparently there was some stuff-up with the factory conversion which caused damage to the supercharger. Then he had issues with alignment problems, more a case of RFT issues.

But, as I said, this was over 5 years ago and not necessarily a true indication of the service itself.

For what it's worth, my car's entire service history prior to me purchasing it was with Auric, and the car is still running perfectly...

Its a interesting setup they got,it feels as if you driving right through their office to get to the top level. The first time I went there I asked the Security Guard"Are you shure I can drive here?"

I have not had any good maintenance related experiences with Auric. I have over the years bought 3 cars from them and without fail every time there has been an issue related to poor servicing or delivery of the vehicles. They also contract out all their carkits etc to a family business connection. This "connection" are a complete bunch of amateurs who could not even install a parrot car kit correctly (on 2 different vehicles). I eventually started working through BMW (SA) to get anything resolved with Auric. To put it mildly they are poor in the service and part departments.

SMG Canal Walk are a much better bet if you are looking to work with an approved dealer. Like all dealerships they have their issues, but they are better equipped and prepared to help. Stay away from the service advisor Roy... he should be called a service destructor (is able to make the most obscure correlations about maintenance issues). Ashraf is the service manager and I tend to only deal with him and he is great value.

If the car is out of motorplan I would be looking to ART (They are a board sponsor). They do a fantastic job and are reliable, stand behind their work and can actually fix a problem as apposed to just replacing random parts hoping for a solution.
